Painting

Paint is a crucial part of any project. Color artistry is important to create an atmosphere and highlight details. Color can bring warm or cool feelings to a room, make a space feel larger, create stunning curb appeal or bring attention to a wall. Sheen plays a role in aesthetic and durability. A high traffic area may be best with a scrubable matte, while trim may look best in a high gloss. Regardless of color or sheen, paint is the embellishment to a home or building that defines the space.

Common Paint Issues:

Dents, cracks or holes under paint - Improper preparation

Peeling, cracking or wrinkling - Improper application or age

Stains or wood knots bleed through newly applied paint - Improper primer application

Chalking - Paint has broken down/age

Latex paint applied over oil paint

Discoloration or damages easily - Improper coverage/single coat

To create a lasting and stunning paint job, the preparation is critical.

Limiting or completely omitting preparation processes will become glaringly obvious after paint is applied. Inadequate sanding, improperly filling and cleaning surfaces, or choosing to cut costs by using inferior products, all not only reduces the life of the paint application, but the finished project will look inadequate.

 Our painting process:

  • Mask and protect adjacent areas of your home from dust and drips.

  • Thoroughly scrape, sand, and fill gaps and blemishes to all surfaces being painted.

  • Apply a high quality primer where needed to ensure adhesion, stain coverage and correct minor flaws.

  • Apply two coats of high quality paint, such as Benjamin Moore or Sherwin Williams.

  • Leave without a trace.

Our care and attention to detail is what you pay for, what you deserve. Our process allows you to paint less often, saving money in the long run, and benefit from an appearance that enhances your furnishings and your home's architecture.
